Indiana Pacers: Pascal Siakam Achieves Insane Wilt Chamberlain Feat That Hasn’t Been Done Since 1967
Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

The Indiana Pacers made good of their word to be much better in Game 2, as they defeated the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday to even the series to one game apiece, giving them all the momentum when they head back home for Games 3 and 4.

Pascal Siakam led the way by dropping a playoff career-high 37 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists on 16-of-23 shooting from the field, and the Cameroonian forward achieved a major milestone in the process.

And because he also had a great outing in Game 1 where he tallied 36 points and 13 rebounds on 15-of-25 shooting, he became the fifth player in NBA history to have at least 35 points and 10 rebounds on 60+ percent shooting in consecutive playoff games alongside Wilt Chamberlain, Tim Duncan, Shaquille O’Neal, and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

At the same time, he is also the first player since Wilt Chamberlain in 1967 to have recorded at least 35 points and 10 rebounds to open the first two games of the playoffs.

“We’ve got to be the hungry team. We’ve got to be the team that’s coming in and wanting to show something,” Siakam said after Game 2. “That’s the attitude that we’ve got to have against those guys because they’ve done it before.”

“I’m blessed to be with an organization like the Pacers. They give me everything. The love is amazing. I’m back where I belong, and I just wanna go truly compete,” he added via NBA TV on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Indiana Pacers look ahead to Games 3 and 4

The Indiana Pacers are excited to return to the Gainbridge Fieldhouse to play Games 3 and 4 because of their stellar home record in the 2023-24 regular season.

They went 26-15 at home during the regular season and were the best team in terms of points per game (125.5), assists per game (31.0), and field goal percentage (51.4) while being sixth in point differential (+280).

Besides Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Milwaukee Bucks are also worried about Khris Middleton’s fitness, putting them under more pressure to perform on the road against the confident Indiana Pacers starting tomorrow.
