Report: Bill Belichick to join ‘ManningCast’ for Monday Night Football

The “ManningCast” will get a new face this season when Monday Night Football rolls around, with former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick set to join the program in a recurring role.

The Athletic reports that a deal with Peyton Manning‘s Omaha Productions is not yet fully agreed upon but is moving in that direction.

ESPN’s “Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli” has become a popular spot for NFL fans, especially more casual ones, to take in games. The two Manning brothers discuss games in real-time in a more laid-back setting, offering fans a unique glimpse at the game.

The program typically has on guests, but only once per season. Belichick would be a departure from that, appearing multiple times during the year.

He could certainly give fans some interesting insight, though, given his extensive connections to the game at the head coach level.

But the work with the ManningCast is just part of a media blitz Bill Belichick is expected to go on, according to the report by The Athletic.

In addition to working on the ManningCast, Belichick will have “a book deal, a potential inside football show and possibly a podcast,” according to the report.

A book deal could reach “well into the seven figures.”

Belichick has already begun his new media engagements with appearances on the Pat McAfee Show, where he’ll be on Thursday night to help break down the NFL Draft as an analyst. The Athletic notes that Belichick’s role on the Pat McAfee Show could expand going forward.

One of the most successful coaches in NFL history, Bill Belichick parted ways with the New England Patriots following the 2023 season. He won six Super Bowls with the organization.

Belichick has been named the AP NFL Coach of the Year three times, as well as the Maxwell Club NFL Coach of the Year once.

He was named to the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team and the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team, as well as to the NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team.

Belichick has a 333-178 overall record all time, trailing the legendary Don Shula by just 14 wins.
