Seth Rollins is happy to see Will Ospreay thriving in his professional wrestling career.
In 2019, Rollins and Ospreay got into a social media back-and-forth over who the best wrestler in the world was. It led to Rollins apologizing for a tweet where he told Ospreay to compare bank accounts. Rollins called the tweet "trash" and promised to be better.
The two have since showed respect toward each other. That continued with Rollins praising Ospreay in a story published by The Ringer on Thursday. Rollins said Ospreay "is absolutely one of the best performers in the world, and I’m happy that he is finally, you know, getting to the very top level in our industry."
Ospreay signed a multi-year contract with AEW in November 2023. After finishing up his NJPW commitments, he began his full-time AEW career this February. Ospreay has a 4-0 record in AEW since then.
The 2019 exchange between Rollins and Ospreay started after Rollins sent out the following tweet:
Doubling down. Best pro wrestling on the planet. See that Cruiserweight Triple Threat? And that’s just one night, one match amongst the many. Find anyone else alive who does what I do as well as I do it as often as I do it. Ya can’t. #WWEStompingGrounds #UniversalChampion @WWE

In his interview with The Ringer, Rollins explained that he posted that tweet because he felt obligated to speak his mind about WWE being the best:
Well, not everybody has taken this stance over the years, but to me, WWE is my home, right? These people that I go to battle with every week on these live events and these TVs—and I’m not talking just the talent; I’m talking about the whole team, the production, the creative—love it or hate it, we’re the best. And I’ve been a proponent of these people in my family and had their back for years because I believe that, and I believe in the work we all put together to make this industry the best it possibly can be.
Rollins is set to compete at both nights of WrestleMania 40 this weekend. In the night one main event, he's joining forces with Cody Rhodes to take on The Rock & Roman Reigns. Rollins will then defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre at night two.
